Duck Blind Hunting

This style of hunting is identical to a wild mallard hunt.  Complete with spacious blinds, surrounded by a rig of decoys and guided by experienced duck hunting guides native to our region.    There are two open water blinds reached by boat and one shore blind with easy access.  Each blind comes equipped with a well trained retriever.    For the seasoned waterfowl hunter this is as close as you can get to the real thing and is rated by many as the best mallard shoot in the country.

Wild Duck Hunting

For those interested in hunting wild ducks in the coastal region of North Carolina you have come to the right place.     Puddle duck species available during the season include blue wing and green wing teal, widgeon, pintail, gadwall, wood duck, mallards and black ducks.     Diving ducks include scaup (bluebills), canvasback and bufflehead. We also specialize in sea duck hunting in the Pamilco Sound where the bag includes surf and common scoters.     Haddock's operates a fully equiped 23' War Eagle boat with an Avery boat blind giving us the ability to move with the ducks.     When conditions are right we will also hunt our field blinds for ducks.

Quail Hunting

Our quail hunting comes in two varieties.  Select from wind row or wooded cover where the action is explosive.     These hunts include an experienced bird hunting guide and a well trained bird dog.  If you so desire you may hunt your own dog with advance notice. Past clients remark how well our birds bust from cover and fly.

Pheasant Hunting

Traditional pheasant hunting continues to be popular sport at Haddock's.  These sporty gamebirds are a wingshooter's delight both in the field and on the table.     This hunt includes an experienced guide and a bird dog who knows how to hunt pheasant.

Swan Hunting

Haddock's Guide Service is a part of Haddock's, offering the finest Tundra Swan hunting found in America today.  Our hunting area is the wintering home to 25% of the world's population of these majestic birds.     This hunt is by permit only and we can provide you with additional information on this unique style of water fowl hunting.     There is another exciting feature to Haddock's Swan Hunting.  During the season, Snow Geese and wild duck hunting can be enjoyed as an extra bonus.
